A method and apparatus for filtering Channel Quality indicator (CQI) are disclosed in the present invention to increase CQI accuracy so as to improve the performance of High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). The method includes: obtaining the current channel quality indicator reported by a user equipment in the current scheduling period; obtaining an average channel quality indicator of a channel quality indicator sequence, wherein, the channel quality indicator sequence includes at least two channel quality indicators reported by the user equipment before the current scheduling period; according to the variation characteristic of the channel quality indicator sequence, determining an expected channel quality indicator from the current channel quality indicator and the average channel quality indictors; according to the expected channel quality indicator, determining the channel quality indicator used in the current scheduling period. A method for data transmission and apparatus thereof are also disclosed in the present invention. |
