[Class 75 (iv)] The inverted trough reflector a of a tubular fluorescent electric lamp fitting is closed at the base by a transparent panel f having resilient packing g around its edges and fitted at intervals with laterally extending brackets h having forked jaws h<1> to receive threaded shanks d pivoted to brackets b which are slidable in open beads or channels a<1> at the lower edges of the reflector a. By loosening wing nuts e on the shanks d, the panel f may be either swung about the pivot pins c on one side of the reflector or removed altogether. The brackets b may be provided with securing screws. The lamp control gear is arranged at the ends of the trough and is covered by metal plates which may support the ends of the panels f.
