An organic light emitting display device having an external light blocking pattern positioned on a lower portion of a semiconductor and an interlayer insulating layer having a relatively thick thickness comprises: a substrate; a first conductive layer pattern arranged on the substrate; a first insulating layer pattern arranged on the first conductive layer pattern; a first semiconductor layer pattern arranged on the first insulating layer pattern; a gate insulating layer pattern arranged on the first semiconductor layer pattern; a gate electrode arranged on the gate insulating layer pattern; a planarization layer arranged on the gate electrode and having a first protrusion in one direction perpendicular to an upper surface of the substrate; a lower electrode arranged on the first protrusion; a pixel definition film exposing at least a portion of the lower electrode and covering both sides of the first protrusion; a light emitting layer arranged on the lower electrode; and an upper electrode arranged on the light emitting layer. Accordingly, reliability and stability of a semiconductor element can be improved, and a relatively small number of mask processes are performed to reduce manufacturing costs of the organic light emitting display device.
