PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control sight lines so as to give a person the impression that terminal equipment including a robot is looking at an object on its own initiative in order to realize a smooth dialog with the person.SOLUTION: A sight line control device includes: a collection unit that collects stimulus information representing a stimulus to terminal equipment detected by a sensor included in the terminal equipment having an expression unit that expresses sight lines; a calculation unit that calculates a degree of attention representing a degree to which the terminal equipment is interested in each object included in a field of vision relevant to the sight lines, so that the degree of attention decreases as the time during which the terminal equipment recognizes the object gets longer, and increases as the stimulus information is more frequently collected by the collection unit; and a control unit that implements control to direct the sight lines of the expression unit to an object to be watched selected from among objects whose degrees of attention obtained by the calculation unit are greater than the degrees of attention obtained for other objects. |
