[Class 100 (i)] In sheet-feeding apparatus in which a smoother plate 6 is used to control the sheets adjacent to a side gauge 2 or other registering devices, such as front stops, the smoother 6 is constructed with at least that part near the gauge of a transparent material, such as a synthetic resin, or a non-fibrous cellulosic Plastic material. As shown, the plate 6 is formed wholly of such material and is used in conjunction with means for registering a sheet against a side gauge 2 as described in Specification 564,622. |
