PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processor which does not force a user to perform unnecessary operations when a jam, especially an unreached jam is generated, and which does not ruin reliance with respect to the post-processor and an image forming system.SOLUTION: A sheet post-processor 6 comprises: UART 131 which communicates with an image forming apparatus 1; post-processing means (a punch unit 43, a staple unit 45, etc.); a sensor 302 including an entrance sensor 301 which detects the existence of paper for the post-processing means; jamming detection means (a CPU130, a timer 133) which detects a jam; and a RAM135 which stores the jam detected by the jamming detection means (the CPU130, the timer 133) as a state. In the state where the jam is detected, when receiving via UART 131 a signal related to a release request of the jam from the image forming apparatus 1, the CPU 130 releases the jamming state. |
