PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolling method that is highly efficient by eliminating factors of inhibiting the efficiency of rolling due to a roughing mill in a hot rolling process.SOLUTION: When an extraction temperature of a heating furnace 1 of a slab is higher than a target value, the number of passes of a roughing mill is reduced by one reciprocation, and thereby a rolling time is shortened. Also, when the extraction temperature of the heating furnace of the slab is higher than the target value, the tracking interference between a preceding material and a following material is prevented by restricting a rolling draft at the second pass of a first stand 3 of the roughing mill. |
