A method for managing an assembly for the post-treatment of the exhaust gases (1) emanating from a motor vehicle combustion engine (2), said assembly comprising an SCR system (3) with a catalytic block (4) and a device (7) for injecting urea upstream of the catalytic block (4), the method comprising: • a step of receiving a value of the temperature of the injection device (T_inj) and a value for the temperature of the urea (T_urea), • a step of calculating a value of the quantity of urea (Q_on_injection), as a function of the temperature values received and as a function of a desired value for the temperature of the injection device (Tl), and • a step of generating a control signal (Cinj) intended for a device that controls the injection device (7) in order to command the injection of the calculated quantity of urea so that the temperature of the injection device (7) reaches the desired temperature. |
