PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect carrier deposited on a photoreceptor regardless of the operation state of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a developing roller 5 having a developing sleeve 81 which rotates with two-component developer to be supplied to a photoreceptor 1 carried on a surface, and a magnet roller 82 included in the developing sleeve 81 and having a plurality of magnetic poles; and a carrier collection roller 13 having a carrier collection sleeve 90 which rotates with the carrier deposited on the photoreceptor 1 carried on a surface, and a carrier collection magnet roller 91 fixed so as to be contained in the carrier collection sleeve 90 and having a plurality of magnetic poles, at least. The magnet roller 82 includes: a developing apparatus 4 which is rotatably disposed so that the magnetic poles sequentially pass through a position facing the carrier collection sleeve 90; and bias application means for applying a bias to the carrier collection sleeve 90. The bias application means changes a bias to be applied to the carrier collection sleeve 90 at a predetermined timing. |
