PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a front passenger seat that can be easily mounted even when a vertical space is small.SOLUTION: An airbag device for a front passenger seat includes: an airbag device body 9 having an airbag 10, an inflator 20 and a housing 30 for housing the folded airbag; and a ceiling wall part 25 comprising an instrument panel upper face side 6 before the front passenger seat and having a door part 26 opened by rupturing a surrounding rupture projected part 28. The housing 30 is formed of a synthetic resin integral molded product 55 and has a door support part 36 and a housing body 40. The housing body has an approximately U-shaped cross section in the forward/backward direction that includes a bottom wall part 41 for holding the airbag and the inflator and side wall parts 45 extended upwards at least from both of front and rear edges of the bottom wall part and coupled to a peripheral edge portion 27 of the door part. The door support part includes: a door coupling part 37 coupled to the back face side of the door part; and a hinge part 38 that enables bending deformation and is disposed in a connecting portion between the door coupling part and the side wall parts. |
