A squeeze film damper 11 includes a bearing housing 22 as an inner ring disposed around a radially outer side of a bearing 10 which rotatably supports a rotary shaft 5, an outer ring 31 disposed around a radially outer side of the bearing housing 22, a squeeze film 35 formed by circulating a viscous fluid through a clearance in a radial direction between the bearing housing 22 and the outer ring 31, and a coupling pin 32 which couples the bearing housing 22 and the outer ring 31 to each other and is deformable in response to relative displacement in the radial direction between the outer ring 31 and the bearing housing 22. The coupling pin 32 has stiffness that is higher in a vertical direction than in a horizontal direction in a cross section perpendicular to an axial direction of the rotary shaft 5.
