The invention relates to a timepiece with a chronograph mechanism, with no need of independent gear train of a chronograph. The timepiece (2) with the chronograph mechanism comprises a barrel wheel (25) and an acceleration gear train (4) which rotates along with the barrel wheel, speed of wheels at the tail end side of the acceleration gear train is regulated through a speed regulation escapement mechanism (30), and at least one gear train (51, 61) of the acceleration gear train is arranged as the chronograph gear which is kinematically connected to chronograph axes (54, 64) via clutch mechanisms (59, 69). The clutch mechanism is composed of vertical clutches which enables the chronograph axes to be actually connected with the chronograph gears in a vertical direction. The chronograph axes are integrated with clutch loops (55, 65), clutch springs (56, 66) and clutch spring supporting seats (57, 67), and the chronograph gears are integrated with clutch boards (51c, 61d). |
