The present invention relates to an image sensor and an image processing system capable of reducing power consumption of an image sensor, not causing LCD blackout when a user photographs a still-shot image, and outputting a live-view image and a still-shot image in parallel. An image sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pixel array having preview pixels and capture pixels; a first read-out circuit to transmit a preview image generated by the preview pixels to a digital signal processor through a first interface; a second read-out circuit to transmit a captured image generated by the capture pixels to the digital signal processor through a second interface which is different from the first interface; and a controller to control the first read-out circuit and the second read-out circuit to transmit the preview image and the captured image to the digital processor in parallel.
