PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing a tubular member, capable of manufacturing the tubular member at low cost while making exterior appearance excellent.SOLUTION: A tubular member includes: one tubular part that is formed on one side in an axial direction; and the other tubular part that is formed on the other side in the axial direction and whose diameter and wall-to-wall dimension are made different. A method for manufacturing the tubular member includes: a wringing step S01 and S02 of fixing a tubular member to be processed having a given cross-sectional shape to a fixed position while arranging a support core thereinside and then wringing the other side of the member to be processed in the axial direction to the other tubular part by using a first mold; and a boundary-forming step S03 of pressing a second mold to the boundary between the other tubular part obtained in the wringing step and the one tubular part to form the boundary part. |
