The device has a pulley (1) for holding a belt, a drive shaft (2) that rotates the pulley, and a coupling unit that connects the pulley with the drive shaft. The coupling unit has a free wheel element (3) and an elastomeric spring (4) that is connected in series with the free wheel element in which mating surfaces (5,6) are assigned. The mating surface (5) faces the pulley and the mating surface (6) faces the elastomeric spring. The inserts (5a,6a) are formed in the mating surfaces, and in which radial shaft sealing ring is provided.
