This magnetic-separation filter device is provided with a roughly-cylindrical housing; a divider that partitions the interior of said housing; a filter medium, comprising fine amorphous-alloy wires, with which a first region demarcated by the housing and divider is filled; and a permanent magnet disposed facing said first region, outside the housing. Said permanent magnet forms a magnetic field inside the first region.
