A rubber or PVC glove comprises a palm layer and a dorsal layer with an interior space between the two layers. The glove has four fingers, a thumb and an open wrist end. A desiccant comprising calcium chloride is retained within the interior hand-receiving space of the glove. The glove is preferably waterproof and the desiccant may be in powdered form in a porous sachet or in a porous liner layer in the glove. The hygroscopic substance may also be dispersed in a water-absorbent gel. The invention also provides a sealed package for the glove, and a method of donning the glove. |
