A power line communication network 100 has a plurality of network terminals 108A 108D and at least one power line 102. The network terminals are coupled to the at least one power line and are arranged to communicate with each other over the at least one power line. Each of the network terminals is arranged to connect to one or more devices and each of the network terminals comprises at least one memory (308A 308D, fig. 4) for storing one or more device drivers (D1 D3, fig. 4) corresponding to the one or more devices. The network terminals are further arranged to connect to a device driver store 114 and to download said device drivers from the device driver store in order to connect to a corresponding device. The drivers stored in the device driver store may be updated from time to time and the driver store may be located in cloud based storage. The terminals may check whether a driver is installed prior to downloading it from the driver store. The terminals may inform each other of the drivers they have downloaded and may download drivers from the other terminals instead of the device driver store. |
