The invention provides a pneumatic tire which can inhibit degradation of driving stability performance on a dry road and has improved aquaplaning performance. The pneumatic tire comprises a tread (10) which has a main groove (12B) that is extended in the tire circumferential direction, a tire shoulder ground contact part (18) that is divided by the main groove (12B), wherein a recess (26) which is extended in the tire circumferential direction (A) is disposed on a groove wall surface (25) on an outer side of the main groove (12B) of the tire shoulder ground contact part (18) in the tire circumferential direction (B). The recess (26) enables the central part in the depth direction of the groove wall surface (25) to be in a shape of being recessed towards the tire circumferential direction (B). A circumferential knife groove pattern (40) which has the same bottom point position F as the recess (26) or is shallower than the depth of the recess (26) is disposed near the main groove (12B) of the tire shoulder ground contact part (18). |
