PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device by means of which the fuel economy of an engine can be effectively improved.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes an acceleration sensor 18, a revolution speed sensor 19, an engine output setting unit 41 for setting engine output using a first map in which the transmission equi-output revolution speed line is set on a coordinate plane corresponding to the accelerator position and the engine output, a target fuel injection quantity setting unit 42 for setting the target fuel injection quantity using a second map in which the minimum fuel injection quantity line is set on a coordinate plane corresponding to the engine output and the fuel injection quantity, a target engine speed setting unit 43 for setting the target engine speed using a third map in which the optimum engine speed line is set on a coordinate plane corresponding to the engine output and the engine speed, a target transmission gear ratio calculation unit 44 for calculating the target transmission gear ratio based on the transmission output revolution speed and the target engine speed, an engine ECU 20 for controlling the engine 10, and a transmission ECU 30 for controlling the transmission 12. |
