The invention relates to a valve (1) for regulating a fluid flow (2), in particular a fibrous material suspension flow (2.1) preferably guided in a machine for producing a fibrous material web, in particular a paper, cardboard or packaging paper web, said valve comprising a hollow body (3) having a cavity (4) which at least in some sections is substantially rotationally symmetrical and has a longitudinal axis (L.4). Said cavity includes at least one inlet opening (5) having a longitudinal axis (L.5) and an inlet conduit (5.1), and further includes a variable and substantially rotationally symmetrical passage surface (6) and an outlet opening (7) having an outlet conduit (7.1). The valve further comprises a preferably rotationally symmetrical valve rod (8) which can be displaced coaxially in the cavity (4) of the hollow body (3) preferably by means of at least one actuating means (10), can vary the passage surface (6) as a result of a displacement (V) and in particular comprises a valve disc (9). The valve (1) according to the invention is characterised in that the inlet opening (5) in the hollow body (3) is disposed in such a way that the longitudinal axis (L.5) thereof intersects the longitudinal axis (L.4) of the cavity (4) of the hollow body (3) at an intersection point(P), and that the cavity (4) of the hollow body (3) is designed in such a way that the fluid flow (2), in particular a fibrous material suspension flow (2.1), having a main flow direction (H) flows through said cavity without stagnation points or approximately without stagnation points and without rotations or approximately without rotations relative to the longitudinal axis (L.4) of the cavity (4). |
