[Class 69 (i)] In a fluid flow meter or indicator wherein a flap more or less closes an orifice when there is no flow, and is displaced proportionally to the amount of flow, the flap 4 is pivoted horizontally at 6 to a baffle 5, inlet and outlet ports 1, 3 being provided on opposite sides of the flap to give either a substantially horizontal or vertical flow, and the flap bearing against a glass window or windows at one or both ends of the casing 2 so as to be visible from outside the meter &c. The flap may be of glass when used with opaque fluids, while when used with liquids entraining air &c., the baffle 5 may be provided with a small orifice 7. |
