Skylight for top lighting with solar protection

The skylight has a solar protection unit including a rigid screen (7) extending above or below a closing and filling cover (4). The screen and the cover extend parallely with respect to each other while being separated from each other with an immobile or ventilated interlayer air-gap and a continuous or discontinuous peripheral spacer (12) with thermal bridge rupture or without thermal bridge rupture. The screen and the cover form a double glazing assembly fixed on a skylight frame (1) through a fixed support frame. The screen is in form of a flat or slightly curved plate whose core consists of a honeycomb solar protection structure having prismatic passages that are made of translucent or transparent material such as plastic or aluminum. The screen and/or the cover have plate whose one and/or other major faces are covered by a skin made of glass or plastic material.
