An inkjet recording apparatus (10) according to an aspect of the present invention includes : a carriage (30) incorporating an image forming unit (24) which forms an image on a recording medium (12) by ejecting ink from an inkjet head (24); a scanning device (28) which scans the recording medium by bi-directionally moving the carriage along a direction (Y) perpendicular to a direction (X) of conveyance of the recording medium; a platen (26) arranged opposite the carriage (30) and supporting the recording medium from a rear surface side thereof; and a temperature control device (80, 82, 84, 76, 78, 176, 276) carrying out temperature control of the platen (26) by a temperature adjustment mechanism provided on the carriage or provided detachably on the carriage, wherein the temperature control device carries out temperature control throughout the whole range of the platen in (26) the width direction, by moving the carriage (30) by the scanning device (28). |
