The present invention relates to an electrode for a secondary battery and, more specifically, to a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery having the improved safety of penetration and the reduced risk of the explosion and the ignition, and to a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. The positive electrode for a secondary battery comprises a current collector and a positive electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface of the current collector. An outer unit of the positive electrode active material layer includes a lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese oxide. A central unit includes at least one of lithium-iron phosphate and a lithium-metal oxide having the manganese concentrations higher than the lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese oxide.
