A thermoformed thermoplastic secondary packaging 10 for containing packaged consumer products (50), is made of two halves 12, 14, each half having a rectangular opening 22, 22, and being movably attached to the other such that when the rectangular openings are positioned facing one another, a whole cavity or volume is defined between the two halves. The packaging may be formed in one piece. Each cavity may contain protrusions 40 which act as dividers for the packaged consumer goods. The two halves may be free of any interlocking joining means, and may instead be bound together via an exterior polymeric film wrapping. The halves may be movably attached together by a hinge 16. Each packaging half may be made up of four walls 30, 31, 32, 33 and 30, 31, 32, 33 attached to a rectangular base 34 and 34. The thermoplastic material may be transparent. The goods may be added to the packaging by pressing them down upon the hinge, so that the halves pivot around the hinge until they surround the goods. |
