PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the efficiency of the indexing of an image in the generation processing of a print job by a printer driver.SOLUTION: A printer driver includes: a graphic control part 100 for acquiring an image to be output; a color number determination processing part 101 for determining the colors of pixels constituting an image in accordance with the order of arrangement, for counting different colors on the basis of the determination result, and for making an index table 104 store information for expressing different colors in association with index values; an image conversion processing part 102 for making an image buffer 105 store the index values associated with the determined colors in accordance with the order of arrangement of the pixels; and a PDL(Page Description Language) generation processing part 103 for, when the count number of the different colors exceeds the predetermined upper limit value of the index values, generating PDL data by using the index values stored in the image buffer 105, and for resetting the count number. |
