There is a need to provide a steering device capable of facilitating an assembly operation, decreasing the number of parts, and decreasing manufacturing costs. A bottom plate 42 of a stopper 40 is tightened to an outer curved surface 121 of an inner column 12 between a head section 64 and a bulged section 65 of a rivet body 61. An outside diameter of the rivet body 61 increases to eliminate a gap between a first through-hole 123 and a second through-hole 44. The stopper 40 remains stationary even when it touches a long hole 30 at a telescopic stroke end and repeatedly receives an impact force. The durability of the stopper 40 improves. There is no need for a nut for fixing the stopper 40 to the inner column 12. The number of parts decreases to reduce manufacturing costs. |
