Provided is a surface-treated metal powder that exhibits excellent sintering-delaying properties and is suitable for use in the manufacture of electrodes for multilayer ceramic capacitors, wherein an XPS survey of said metal powder detects nitrogen photoelectrons at a rate of 1,000 cps (count per second) and titanium, aluminum, silicon, zirconium, cerium, or tin photoelectrons at a rate of at least 1,000 cps, with at least 1% surface nitrogen. |
