Disclosed are a method and a device for improving the success rate of soft handover, which relate to the technical field of wireless communications. The method includes the following steps: according to time delay information of the current cell and time delay information of the target cell that are respectively reported by a user equipment (UE), a network side obtains a time delay difference value between the current and the target cell; by performing stability processing on the time delay difference value a stable time delay difference value is obtained; by correcting the time delay information of the target cell by using the stable time delay difference value, corrected time delay information of the target cell is obtained; and a soft handover processing is performed by using the corrected time delay information of the target cell. The present disclosure can discover the accuracy of the time delay information in a measurement report in time and can correct same in time, thereby improving the success rate of soft handover and reducing the call drop rate. |
