A micro-fluidic valve assembly 30 comprises an actuator assembly 32 and an interchangeable rotary valve assembly 31. The actuator assembly 32 has an actuator housing providing a distal receiving cavity 43 rotatably supporting an actuator shaft (39, Fig. 10) therein. The valve assembly 31 includes a POD housing 41 rotatably supporting a valve shaft (29, Fig. 5), and a proximal insert portion 42 for sliding axial receipt in the receiving cavity 43 of the actuator assembly 32 between unmounted and mounted conditions. A quick mount/release mechanism 45 cooperates between the proximal insert portion 42 of the rotary valve assembly and the receiving cavity 43 of the actuator housing to provide a releasable mounting engagement of the rotary valve assembly 31 to the actuator assembly 32 that is free of any threaded mounting structure. |
