The present invention provides a gesture designing method and a gesture designing apparatus, which use a gesture markup language based on an actual gesture of various wearable devices. The gesture designing method comprises the following steps. The gesture designing method comprises the steps of: displaying a movement trajectory corresponding to movement information on an interface device, on a display device; receiving a command for displaying at least one hurdle object on the movement trajectory on the display device; receiving a command for displaying a path object past the hurdle object from a starting point on the movement trajectory on the display device; and determining a specific gesture corresponding to a specific movement of the interface device based on the hurdle object and the path object.
