PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device configured to properly maintain a distance between a vehicle and an obstacle and reduce anxiety of a passenger during parking.SOLUTION: A parking support device includes: an obstacle detector which measures a distance between a vehicle 100 and a wall O1, and a distance between a vehicle O2 and a vehicle O3; and a guidance route generator which generates a guidance route for guiding the vehicle 100 to a target parking position P so that the distances measured by the obstacle detector become equal to or more than collision margins D1, D3, D4. The guidance route generator generates the guidance route, such that the collision margin D1 outside a parking space S becomes longer than the collision margins D3, D4 inside the parking space S. A distance from an obstacle is maintained appropriately, such that the vehicle does not approach the wall O1 outside the target parking position P more than necessary, to reduce anxiety of an attendant who is anxious about a contact between the vehicle and the obstacle. |
