The invention relates to a holder for a hose, in particular a suction hose (24), which is provided with circumferential ribs (70), of a suction device (10), which holder (34; 84) comprises at least one hose holding element (36, 38; 86) which forms at least one hose receptacle (48) for the hose (24), it being possible for the hose (24) to be inserted into said hose receptacle for holding purposes and it being possible for the hose (24) to be removed from said hose receptacle. In order to develop a holder of this kind such that a hose can be reliably held therein, the invention proposes that the holder (34; 84) comprises at least one axial securing element (56, 58) for securing the hose (24) against axial movement in the at least one hose receptacle (48) and also at least one radial securing element (66; 90), which is arranged at a distance from the at least one axial securing element (56, 58), for securing the hose (24) against radial movement in the at least one hose receptacle (48).
