The present invention relates to a supported metal catalyst and a preparation method of compounds using the same, and more specifically, to a catalyst for organic reactions comprising palladium supported on a reverse-phased silica gel support, a preparation method of the same, and a preparation of a biaryl compound using the same. The catalyst for organic reactions comprising palladium supported on a reverse-phased silica gel support according to the present invention, is a continuously-usable heterogeneous catalyst in which palladium and ligands can be separated and reused, and which provides a superior reaction yield, and can be used in water and is therefore environmentally-friendly. Particularly, since the palladium supported on reverse-phased silica gel does not get easily separated during chemical reactions, the catalyst of the present invention is a stable heterogeneous catalyst having superior reaction efficiency. When preparing a biaryl compound using the catalyst for organic reactions according to the present invention, the reaction can be performed in water even when a Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction is applied during the preparation process of the biaryl compound. Therefore, the catalyst of the present invention is environmentally-friendly, sustainable, and economical while having high reaction efficiency and a lower risk of explosion when used in a hydrogenation reaction. |
