PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine valve capable of suppressing heat loss during a low load, and of suppressing knocking during a high load by performing heat dissipation.SOLUTION: An engine valve 1 uses an aluminum alloy containing 50 to 86 mass% aluminum and magnesium as an alloy element, as a cooling medium 10 to be filled in a hollow part 13 formed from a shaft part 11 to an umbrella part 12. The engine valve 1 uses a magnesium alloy containing 50 to 85 mass% magnesium and aluminum as an alloy element, as the cooling medium 10. Besides, the engine valve 1 uses a sodium alloy containing barium and 50 to 72 mol% sodium, a sodium alloy containing bismuth and 50 to 75 mol% sodium, or a sodium alloy containing tin and 50 to 79 mol% sodium, as the cooling medium 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
