A load platform is provided with spaced parallel support wires 10a-c and one or more slings, straps or legs 14. The legs are attached at their upper ends to a structure beneath which the load platform is slung and are attached at their lower ends to the support wires at intermediate positions along their length. This is done by friction clamps 15 that are configured to engage the wires to impede them from slipping through, e.g. to alleviate the effects of failure of the parallel support wires. The platform further includes either (a) decking comprising tensioned netting clipped to the support wires or (b) a plurality of decking panels each having fasteners at opposite ends for releaseably clipping the panels in side-by-side relationship to the support wires, said fasteners each comprising hooks for supporting the panel on the wires and at a catch for resisting lifting of the panel. |
