<p>PURPOSE:To provide a means to automatically detect a state generating loops of each line in plural rolling lines. CONSTITUTION:Material position detectors 4a-4d and radiation thermometers 5a-5b are installed at prescribed distances on the upper part of a trough 3 installed between a rouging mill 1 and an intermediate mill 2. When a rolled stock 8 is detected by the material position detector 4a, an indication value of the radiation thermometer 5a of the line corresponding to the rolled stock is inputted into a loop discriminating device. 6 after the lapse of the fixed time. The difference between the set temperature inputted previously is obtd. and when the temperature difference exceeds the tolerance value, generation of a loop is decided. Concerning the loop of the rolled stock, undetected error, misunderstanding, insufficient confirmation are removed entirely and defect in biting the rolled stock is taken away.</p> |
