PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which comprises an image formation assembly including a housing, an image holding body which holds a toner image, and a developing unit which develops an electrostatic latent image on the image holding body, and mounted on the housing so as to be drawn out from the housing, configured to output a warning of light-induced fatigue of the image holding body equipped in the image formation assembly, without using a switch for detecting attachment/detachment of the image formation assembly.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a pair of connectors which comprises one connector 55 on the side of a housing; and the other connector 15 on the side of an image forming assembly. The connectors are separated when drawn out from a housing of the image formation assembly 10, and coupled when mounted on the housing of the image formation assembly 10, to relay communication between the image formation assembly; and a control unit 57. The control unit 57 causes a display unit 58 to output a light-induced fatigue warning for warning of light-induced fatigue of the image holding body when the communication with the image formation assembly 10 to relay the pair of connectors 15, 55 is disconnected and a predetermined time passes. |
