PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a clock frequency and a clock absolute value even under a transmission environment, such as an IP network, where packet intervals are not constant and there occurs transmission delay variation.SOLUTION: A control metadata processing part 22 of a reception device 2 restores, from ATS packets storing control metadata, the control metadata including a buffering delay value. A video audio processing part 23 restores, from ATS packets storing MUs of video and audio, the MUs and performs decoding and reproduction of the video and audio on the basis of STC values inputted from an STC restoration part 24. The STC restoration part 24 identifies an MU, out of MUs of the same content, which corresponds to the earliest time and includes a Reftime, converts the Reftime included in the MU into a clock value, subtracts the buffering delay value included in the control metadata from the clock value, sets a result of the subtraction as a clock initial value, monitors an amount of ATS packets accumulated in a buffer, and adjusts a clock frequency. |
