[Problem] To provide a coated granular fertilizer of short-term release type which can exhibit a release pattern of short-term release type without inhibiting the controlled release at the early stage. [Solution] A coated granular fertilizer of short-term release type, said coated granular fertilizer comprising a coating film formed on the surface of a water-soluble granular fertilizer, characterized in that, in 80 mass%, per unit mass, or more of the fertilizer grains to be coated, the coating film is formed on irregular surface having an irregularity coefficient (V1/V2) ranging from 0.05 to 0.6: wherein (V1) stands for the volume of a fertilizer grain; and, when the maximum distance between two arbitrary points on the surface of said fertilizer grain is referred to as (R), (V2) stands for the volume of a sphere having a radius (R). |
