PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a gas meter capable of taking a safety measure with an alarm for inner pipe gas leakage without stopping operation of a gas device with constant gas consumption which continuously consumes a specific quantity of gas.SOLUTION: In a gas meter which comprises tow gas outlets, a constant gas outlet 6 connected to a gas device with constant gas consumption 4 which continuously consumes a specific quantity of gas and a variable gas outlet 7 connected to a gas device 5 which consumes a variable quantity of gas, a main gas channel 10 communicated with one gas inlet 3 is divided into a constant gas channel 11 and a variable gas channel 12. A gas flow rate measuring section 15 is installed only on the variable gas channel 12 which is provided with a variable gas shutoff valve 18 and a pressure sensor 19 arrange at a downstream side of the variable gas shutoff valve 18. Whether or not a gas leakage occurs at a side of the gas device 5 or at the sides of the gas device with constant gas consumption 4 and the gas device 5 is detected by sensing gas pressure by the pressure sensor 19 at the downstream side of the variable gas shutoff valve 18 with the same in a shutoff state. |
