[Class 120 (ii)] The underclearer rollers of spinning and preparing machines are mounted in pivoted brackets 13 so as to be readily removable by the operation of a finger-piece 15 from the operative to the stripping position, the arrangement being such that the lever passes through a dead centre in the movement, the roller being resiliently carried on a spring support 16 to facilitate the movement. The limits of the movement are respectively determined by the engagement of a tail-piece 132 and the bracket 13 with the shaft. If the roller is used also to clear the belt 6, a fine adjustment comprising a locked set screw is provided in the tail-piece. The pivot of the bracket 13 is carried by an arm mounted on a shaft 10 which carries the pivoted tensionroller brackets 9 of the belt. A similar arrangement, Fig. 5 (not shown), may be applied to the front roller.
