PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease of performance due to interference of electric waves emitted from other communication apparatus or a microwave oven which share an identical frequency band.SOLUTION: A reception section senses a carrier wave while switching reception frequency to detect a predetermined preamble included in a received signal. When sensing the carrier wave, a counter 15 counts frequency at which electric field strength of the received signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value for each channel. When a signal from other 802.11 is detected, a channel in which the signal is detected is prohibited from being used, and a channel in which the count value of the counter exceeds the threshold value is also prohibited from being used. |
