PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine in which maintenance works of replacing an oil filter and adjusting the tension of a fan belt can be performed from the same maintenance side.SOLUTION: An engine includes: a timing transmission case 2 provided on the front side of a cylinder block 1; an engine cooling fan 3 arranged in front of the timing transmission case 2; a crank pulley 6 of a crank shaft 5 arranged below a fan input pulley 4 of the engine cooling fan 3; and a fan belt 7 wound around the crank pulley 6 and the fan input pulley 4. In the engine, an oil filter 8 is arranged on the engine intake side of the right and left sides of the engine, a belt tensioner 9 is arranged between the fan input pulley 4 and the crank pulley 6 and near the engine intake side of the front face 2a of the timing transmission case 2 so that a replacement work of the oil filter 8 and a tension adjustment work of the fan belt 7 with the belt tensioner 9 can be performed from the engine intake side. |
