The device e.g. implantable heart stimulator (10), has a unit for determining a preload of right and left ventricles (42, 46) for a cardiac cycle and forming a pre-load value for representing the respective pre-load. A unit determines contractility of the respective ventricles for the cardiac cycle and forming the contractility for representing respective contractility values. An evaluation unit is connected to the unit for determining the preload and unit for determining the contractility, and evaluates a number of contractility values taking into an account of the pre-load values. |
