An operation data output apparatus and an operation data output method are provided, which can easily provide character strings containing multiple byte characters as operation data of the keyboard for information processing in an information processing unit. In the case that the operation data of the keyboard for inputting characters presented by character string data is generated and output, multiple byte character areas in which characters of codes representing multiple byte characters and other parts (S13) are identified, as the operation data corresponding to the multiple byte character areas, operation data (S16, S17) of key operation of inputting multiple byte characters of codes represented by characters of the area indicated by a service program that is pre-contained in a prescribed operating system is generated, and as the operation data partially corresponding to the parts outside of the multiple byte character areas, the operation data (S14) of key operation corresponding to the character input by the character configured in this area by the service program indication is generated. |
