[Class 64 (i)] [Also in Groups III, VI and XXIX] A water sterilizer comprises a vessel 1 containing water heated by a steam coil 3 and supplied with steam under pressure introduced by way of a pressurestat 5, a pressurestat diaphragm 7, a steam balance pipe 6 and a safety valve 8. The vessel 1 is connected through valves 12A, 12C with a gauge glass 10 connected through a 3- way cock 12 with a cooling coil 14 provided with a draw-off valve 20 controlling through a cam 17 (see Group XXIX) the valve 18 of the cooling water inlet to the chamber 14A. Sterile water at the desired temperature is delivered by turning the cock 12 to the position shown in Fig. 6, the valves 12A and 12C being open, and turning the valve 20 to the required position indicated by the dial 16 associated with the handle 15. |
