Provided is an external body for a laminate-type electrochemical device which attaches a porous metal sheet as a safe vale with enough strength. The prevent invention is for an external body for a laminate-type electrochemical device where two external body films (11) made of polymer compound are laminated on a sealant layer of one side while the sealant layer of the two external body films (11) faces each other and which enables the outer circumference of the laminated external body film (11) to be sealed. One end of the safe valve (2) for preventing the increase of internal pressure which is made of a porous metal sheet (21) is arranged inside, and the other end is arranged outside. Therefore, while the safe valve (2) is interposed between the outer surface parts corresponding to the laminated two external body films (11), the safe valve (2) is fixed to the sealant layer of the external body film (11) by a bonding layer (3) containing the polymer compound. |
