PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storage device which enables a plurality of sheets to be located and stored in a correct position in a correct attitude when concurrently setting them in a predetermined position on a processing tray with a step from a conveyance path.SOLUTION: A pair of paper ejection rollers which can be freely brought into pressure contact with and separated from each other is arranged in a paper ejection port, standby areas which retain the sheets in the state of overlapping one another are provided in the front and rear of the pair of rollers; an alignment means for correcting a width-direction position of the sheet is arranged on the upstream side of the roller, and a back conveyance path for guiding the sheet to a processing tray is arranged on the downstream side thereof. The adoption of such a configuration makes it unnecessary to drop the plurality of sheets to the tray from the standby position, and prevents the displacement of the sheets from being caused by this drop. |
